EmpowerHER Project

Project Goals

This project evaluated mental health, physical activity, and social connectedness in multiple ways at a Boys & Girls Club during the summer. This included surveys, accelerometers, systematic observations, and a social emotional learning and physical activity program.

The EmpowerHER program was created by Deja Jackson to be an 8-week program consisting of two, 90-minute sessions per week for four weeks.

This project is funded by the Texas A&M University Health Science Center Seedling Grant Program.
