Psychological Distress and Peer Dynamics in Adolescent Summer Care Programs: A Longitudinal Social Network Analysis

Abstract

Longitudinal ERGM/STERGM of friendship and dislike networks (n=47) in an 8-week summer program showed that higher psychological distress predicted receiving more friendship nominations but fewer sent nominations, with homophily on age and sex and increases in both friendships and negative ties over time.
