Exploring social connections and mental well-being among members of a sober active community: A social network analysis

Abstract

SNA of The Phoenix CrossFit programs in Denver (n=35) and Wichita (n=42): greater in-degree (being nominated as supportive) associated with lower psychological distress; peripheral positions (higher closeness) associated with higher distress; ERGMs showed reciprocity/transitivity and that higher distress sent more support nominations while lower distress received more nominations.
